YESTERDAY WAS KOBE BEAN BRYANTS 31st BIRTHDAY!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY!!! I enjoyed watching Kobe Day on NBATV yesterday seeing some of his greatest moments. 2000 Game 7 against Portland when we came back from down 17 in the 4th qt in route to our 1st Championship of this Dynasty. His career high at the time the next season 2000-2001 against San Antonio. Topped career high with 52pts in 2003 against the Rockets which was also his 10th straight game with at least 35pts, 6th straight with at least 40pts and 8 out of 10 wit hat least 40pts. Our amazing win over the Suns in Game 4 in 2006 that put us up in the series 3-1 where he sent it to Overtime and won the game with last second shots. Game 2 of the 2004 Finals where he sent in to overtime and led us to vistory against Detriot and of course his 81pt game against Toronto. Once again HAPPY B-DAY KOBE!!! YOU THE GREATEST!!!

In breaking news Miami Heat 2nd overall draft pick in 2008 Michael Beasley has checked into a Houston rehabilitation center last week and is being treated for depression and possible substance related issues. He posted on his twitter "Y do it feel like da whole world is against me, I cant win 4 losin" and also "Feelin like its not worth livin!!!!!! Im done" the Heat organization suggested he check himself in and get treatment. It is unknown if he will make it to the beginning of Heat training camp Sept. 28th.
I am a huge Beasley supporter and believer! I made it clear I felt the Heat would have gotten past the Atlanta Hawks and to the 2nd round against the Cavs if he had gotten more playing time. I am praying for him to recover from this depression and any "if" any addiction he has developed while feeling this way. His rookie season did not go as expected mainly because the Heat felt he is too immature, "a 20 year old kid who acts like a 20 year old kid" is what they say. He doesnt know if the Heat want him back because of the trade rumors he has been hearing all summer. He just became a father May 19th 2009 when his daughter Mikaiya Zenee Beasley was born. I just want to say Im praying for you Mike I know your potential I hope you realize it fully and take the proper steps to get where you need to be as a man, a basketball player and most importantly now a FATHER! It has been reported on NBATV that my boy Allen Iverson has been in serious talks with the Charlotte Bobcats and could be signing soon. If so this would put A.I. with his former coach in Philly Coach Larry Brown. It is wide known the problems A.I. and Coach Brown had while together but what people dont like to see is the genuine love and respect the two have for one another. A.I. has always said that outside of Coach John Thompson (his college coach at Georgetown) LB. was his best coach and like a father to him. He had his most success under Brown in 2000-2001 when they went to the NBA Finals and had the best record in the East and Allen also was named MVP of the league that year.

By A.I. choosing the Bobcats a franchise still trying to make their first playoff apperence also a team with a lot of good young talent it basiclly tells me that he is choosing to end his career with Coach Brown and with no ring. If that doesnt show his love for his coach then I dont know what does. Honestly Im not sure how A.I. fits into the team like Ive mentioned before because they have a very good young PG in Raymond Felton who they drafted back in 2005 and they just drafted another last year D.J. Augustin. They made a trade last year to bring in former 76er under Brown and Iverson teammate SG Raja Bell and just seem stacked at both guard postions but this is Allen Iverson a future Hall of Famer and maybe the greatest player ever under 6'4" or 6'6". I'll continue looking out to see if this is ultimately A.I.s destination and I'll let you know.

Ok I shouldve been talked about this dude because he is simply... excuse me but the only way to describe is FUCKING AMAZING!!! I mean this guy cant be real I just dont believe it. He is not human. Now it is not foreign for a world class track star or athlete to switch over and become a success in the NFL and they are mostly WRs and returners. Bolt is 6'5" 190lbs a pretty good size more for a NBA SG but there are WRs in the league with that type of size. Personally I need to see his catching ability and can he take a hit and get back up and hold on to the ball. I dont care how fast you are in the NFL you are going to get hit its just that simple (but then again as I said earlier we havent ever seen anyone this fast). If I was a GM of a team and we brought him in for a tryout and he showed first could catch and run routes of course Im going to think seriously bout signing him. I mean at least a one year deal teach him how to field punts and kickoffs follow blocks and see if he could eventually get on the field on offense. But what is there to loose to you as an organization. Its only a one year trial period and you can really under pay him cause homie already paid lol. You will make more money off of him that one year than he will make from you with jersey sales shoes and other team merchandise including game tickets.

He also caught the game winning touchdown pass and now his career is likely over after agreeing to a plea that will make him serve a mandatory 2 years in prison. Yes I believe Plax's career is over. My main reasoning being the difference between him and Mike Vick, Vick got out at age 29, Plax is already 32 and will not be released until he is 34.

Gotdamn he back again!!! I knew it I knew it I fucking knew it!!! Of course I didnt want to say it thats why I just wrote on keeping him retired and forgetting bout him bout a month ago but everybody knew he would return at some point esp when Tarvaris got injured the next day in practice. Personally I believe if Favre can accept the fact that he aint the same guy he was in Green Bay and accept that this is ADs team (or at least offensive) and all he has to do is play Trent Dilfer in 2000 for the Ravens then he just might be able to help elevate this team in to a serious contender for a Super Bowl. The problem with that is I dont really know if Favre will actually do that, he'll say he will but when he's on that field in a game is when he has to prove it to me. Can he accept handing the ball of to AD and Chester Taylor (damn did I really just refer to Taylor in my blog... I dont like that dude... sorry just dont) 35-40 times a game and only passing when needed. Making only smart non-heroic passes when he does pass.

He'll without a doubt use the play action a ton it'll be his best friend. But with maybe the leagues best RB and a very good if not great Defense (which will be even better if they allow my TRUE homeboy Marcus "24" Walker straight outta Waco High to make the team at least as a Dime Back) all Favre has to do is not make costly mistakes. Problem is for just about every big play of his career you can also bring up a horrible one. I dont really know how the lockerroom feels about this yet but Im sure there are upset players that the old guy didnt join the team earlier for training camp. But if the leaders like AD, Hutchinson, Winfield, Jared Allen and the two big Williams agree with the decission then the rest of the guys might just have to fall in line with belief that this makes them a contender.

It is a messed up situation for the current QBs. I think Sage Rosenfels is a pretty good solid QB who can make plays when needed but mostly manages a game (which is exactlly what the team needs) that is why they signed him this offseason and told him he would have a shot at starting. I also like Tarvaris Jackson alot and still believe in him. Why? I dont know possibly only because he is a black QB and I know how difficult it still is for all of them so I want successes for all of them. But I guess when it comes down to it only time will tell how this season will go for the Vikings but they really have to repair the relationships with now I guess their #2 and #3 QBs because how can these two guys who were fighting for a starting job trust the team again. Im sure they'll now be best of friends and on eachothers side.

Michael Crabtree who the San Francisco 49ers drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2009 Draft back in April is still unsigned. The reason the"rookie" remains unsigned is because he is upset with his contract negotiations with the team. You see Crabtree slipped to the Niners to the suprise of everyone when the other Bay Area team, the Oakland Raiders selected Darrius Heyward-Bey over him with their 7th overall pick. Crabtree who was regarded as the best WR in the draft and a top 5 to top 10 pick (which he was #10) wants to be paid as the best WR and a top 5 pick even though even if Oakland would have taken him it wouldve been #7 not top 5 (it aint SanFran or the other 30 teams in the league fault that Oakland over pays all their players). The Raiders have guaranteed Heyward-Bey $23.5mil and Crabtree wants more. It is said that the two parties (the Niners and Crabtree's camp) are more than $10mil apart.

In every Pre-Draft Mock Draft Michael Crabtree was assumed to be the top WR taken in Aprils draft. He came from the well-known high passing offensive of Texas Tech and caught the game-winning catch as time expired against then undefeated and #1 ranked Texas. While Darrius Heyward-Bey came from a school mostly known for basketball, Maryland. Meaning although nearly everyone believes Crabtree is the better player only time will truely tell because most of us have either never seen Heyward-Bey play or only seen a very small amount of times compared to Crabtree who you could see just about every week on ABC or ESPN Nationwide.

It has now come out that Michael is prepared to sit out the entire 2009 season and re-enter the draft in 2010. It is not the first time a player has threaten this but I hope the two sides can come to some sort of agreement where that does not happen. Rashard Lewis has been suspended for the first 10 games of the season for testing positive for elevated testosterome. Lewis said it was an over the counter drug he took towards the end of last season and did not realize the substance was not allowed by the NBA. Rashard spoke on the matter and apologized for not researching the product more before he took it. He also took full responsibilty and hopes all other athletes can learn from his mistake.

Brandon Roy has agreed to a contract extension with the Portland Trailblazers. The deal will be for the max amount over 5 years, over 80mil. B-Roy in only 3 yrs in the league has already become the 3rd or 4th best SG in the league behind the great Kobe Bryant, verge of great Dwayne Wade and give or take with Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks. He has improved each of his yrs in the league since his rookie year of 2006-07 where he was Rookie of The Year. This year he also led the Blazers back to one of the top teams in the West and in the playoffs for the 1st time since 2003. He made his 2nd All Star team had career highs in pts (22.6), reb (4.7), fg% (48.0), 3pt% (37.7), and games played (78). He also had 37.2mpg 82.4 ft% and 5.1ast which are all 2nd highest of his career.

The deal will last until the end of the 2015 season. The 25yr olds worth has been proven which is why the team is making sure he will be there for a long time. The team was 21-61 the year before he got there and this past year they went 54-28. B-Roy was the 6th overall pick in the 2006 Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves but the traded his rights to Portland for their draft pick thich was Randy Foye who they just traded before this past draft to Washington.
