Its official... I think... No it is... Or is it? Who the hell knows? All I know is the man said hes not going to play anymore so can we please... No PLLEEEASE stop talking about him. Yes Brett Favre told Brad Childress the coach of the Minnesota Vikings that he will remain retired and not come back this time. Of course noone really believes this and Favre and his agent did leave the door open for a possible return if the right situation with the right team accured. To me that basically means if once the Vikings are 8 or 10 games in the season and Tarvaris or any other QB on their roster has taken them to record around 6-2 or 7-3 and Brett calls them up and says, "You know even though Im 40 years old I think Im feeling pretty damn good lets give this thing a try!" Basically he would return to a team if they where a contender and needed his services, but his dream destination is Minnesota make no doubt about it. The run the offense that he ran most of his entire career in Green Bay, they have maybe the best running back in the league and a solid defense. His job would just be "Manage the Game and Dont Loose it!" However Im not sure if the gunslinger could play Trent Dilfer for the 2000 Baltimore Ravens.
But anyway like I opened up with lets just let the guy chill in Mississippi and enjoy his family and the good old retired country life. Another factor in Favre calling it quits couldve been the untimely death of his former competitor and long-time friend and fellow Mississippian Steve McNair. The two had just spent time together not long before Steves Death. It couldve showed Brett the nothing is promised and spending time with his family is important.
Signing out DaKING, Jody-Jo.....YEZZIR!!! BALEE-DAT
